Responsibilities

• Analyzes business and operational data to identify trends, generate insights, and communicate findings through reports, dashboards, and visualizations.
• Supports the end-to-end analytics lifecycle, including requirements gathering, development, testing, validation, and delivery of data products.
• Develops and maintains automated data pipelines, data transformations, and Power BI dashboards to improve reporting efficiency and scalability.
• Supports the finance team's delivery of monthly and ad-hoc financial and operations reporting
• Delivers high-quality work in a collaborative environment using agile practices, version control systems, documentation standards, and project management tools.
• Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree (B.A. / B.S.) in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics or related area.
• Minimum 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale
• Demonstrates teamwork and collaboration skills
• Strong communication skills including the ability to translate and generalize technical jargon
• Appetite to continually learn new skills, methods and technologies
• Ability to work onsite at our Carmel Headquarters location, unless otherwise directed by hiring manager
• Ability to work up to 40 hours per week with a minimum of 20 hours for spring and fall interns
• Eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Able to read and interpret technical, regulatory and contractual documentation. Able to maintain confidentiality.
• Makes day to day decisions used to support strategic direction. Decisions often require some thought without established precedents or procedures. Decisions tend to be short term and usually of moderate cost. Able to work independently or as part of a team to drive results.
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills; specifically, Excel
• Familiarity with Tableau or Microsoft Power BI
• Proficient in data wrangling and transformation techniques using SQL and related tools.
• Programming skills in R or Python
• Knowledge of advanced statistical methods and machine learning techniques
• Familiarity with corporate financial statements and basic accounting methods
• Experience with code repository tools and agile development methodology
