- The Medical Courier Driver is responsible for the safe, timely, and compassionate transportation of patients to and from medical appointments, therapies, and other designated locations. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to interact positively and professionally with children and their guardians, ensuring a comfortable and secure transport experience
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a non-CDL vehicle to transport pediatric patients according to scheduled routes and appointments.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure cleanliness, safety, and proper working condition.
- Assist patients, as needed, with entering and exiting the vehicle, including securing car seats or booster seats for appropriate age/size.
- Communicate effectively and courteously with patients, guardians, dispatch, and medical staff regarding schedules, delays, or any issues.
- Maintain accurate transportation logs, mileage records, and patient manifests.
- Ensure the vehicle is clean, well-maintained, and equipped with necessary safety items.
- Respond to unexpected situations or emergencies calmly and professionally, following established protocols.
- Protect patient confidentiality and privacy at all times.
Requirements
- Job Location :123 Main Street Raleigh, NC 27605 (within the Wake County Modive )
- Shift Available: Full Time & Part Time (Early morning shift, Day shift & Night shift)
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Valid state driver's license with a clean driving record (no major violations in the past 3-5 years).
- Minimum of 3 years of professional driving experience.
- Experience working with children and adults in a professional or volunteer capacity is highly preferred.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening.
- Excellent knowledge of local traffic laws and routes.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, especially with children and parents.
- Patience, empathy, and a compassionate demeanor.
- Ability to maintain a strict schedule and manage time effectively.
- Current CPR and First Aid certification is a plus.
