Job description

- This position is responsible for planning, organizing, staffing, directing and controlling the shop activities and inventory. The express purpose of this position will be to supervise and take part in the shop in such manner to meet the profit and expense goals of Company.
Responsibilities
- General warehouse operations.
- Receiving freight, operating a forklift, and stocking the warehouse
- Perform all inventory counts and maintain inventory stock levels.
- Check in orders and stock all inventory items.
- Maintain adequate shipping supplies.
- Perform all shipping.
- Keep shop organized and clean.
- Maintain, clean, and organize all shop tools.
- Check specialty tools in and out.
- Maintaining extinguishers and system cylinders in various locations in shop.
- Record and document all inspections, repairs, discrepancies, and recommendations either electronically or manually.
- Maintain a good positive relationship with the customer and pass on information to the appropriate personnel for follow up, quotes, questions, or concerns.
- Train and manage subordinates in job level requirements.
- Maintain equipment and tools necessary to safely perform job.
- Perform other duties assigned by management.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED preferred. Any vocational training is strongly desired.
- A minimum of 2-3 years’ experience working as a manager, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
