Senior Interaction Designer, Google Meet at Google in New York, NY, USA

From creating user flows and wireframes to building mockups and prototypes, you will envision and bring product experiences to life with an inspired, refined, and magical feel. You will join our multi-disciplinary UX team, collaborating with Engineering and Product Management, leveraging user insights to create industry-leading products.
• As an Interaction Designer, you'll apply user-centered design methods to craft industry-leading user experiences from concept to execution, working with design partners to evolve the Google design language to build beautiful, innovative products.
• As part of the Google Meet UX team, you will envision the future of virtual and hybrid work while partnering closely with a multi-disciplinary UX, Product Management, and Engineering team. You will focus on crafting Google Workspace and third-party app integrations in Google Meet.
• AI will change the future of work in profound ways, and our products— Gmail, Docs, Drive, Calendar, Sheets, Vids and Meet are at the forefront. From pre-computed summaries for email threads, summaries for meetings, and videos created from a document using lifelike AI avatars, our AI opportunity is huge. Responsibilities

• Drive product strategy and design systems through cross-functional alignment and deliverables.
• Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and researchers to create solutions that balance business and user needs.
• Develop user journeys, mockups, prototypes, and presentations to effectively communicate design ideas.
• Partner closely with engineering teams to implement designs to specification and identify creative solutions for technical challenges.
• Apply and contribute to shared Google Workspace design systems.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 6 years of experience in UX design, product design, and interaction design.
• Experience with visual design, mobile design, prototyping, system design, and design strategy.
• Include a portfolio, website, or any other relevant link to your work in your resume (providing a viewable link or access instructions).
• Master's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 2 years of experience working in a complex, cross-functional organization.
• Expertise in Component and System Design.
• Expertise in Mobile and Android design systems.

• Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
• US: $159000 - $230000 (USD) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits
