Responsibilities
- Basic knowledge of HR policies and procedures, as well as local, state, and federal employment laws
- Promote Scheels' culture and benefits through regular and positive associate interactions
- Assist in creating employment postings for recruiting applicants, as well as maintaining up-to-date job postings internally and externally
- Ability to develop a daily routine to maintain office organization, utilization of Google Apps and UKG (preferred, not required), HR Bulletin board, and ordering of HR Supplies
- Assist the HR Leader in onboarding new associates from pre-orientation to post-orientation
- Tracking, training, and development of new associates
- Maintaining associate files and paperwork
- Preparation and tracking of Performance Reviews
- Ability to be organized, detail-oriented, have strong problem-solving skills, multitask, and maintain a high level of accuracy in all aspects of the human resources office
- Perform work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work assigned schedule, which is typically Monday through Friday daytime hours, but may include some evening or weekend hours as needed
Requirements
- The ideal candidate will have an associate’s or bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field and 1-2 years of related experience.
