Job description

• STATUS: Part-time/Temporary/Non-Exempt

Responsibilities

• Ensure Citadel/Admin building is maintained (inside and out) for daily use and community events
• Assist administration with basic office work, to include copying, scanning, and filing
• Maintain equipment and supplies for the office and facility
• Maintain gym recreation use on easy-to-read event calendar
• Ensure gym and other rooms are ready for use, including appropriate setup
• Ensure grass fields are maintained and ready for use at all times
• Ensure vehicles assigned to Citadel/Administration are maintained (gas, clean, oil changes, repair needs advised)
• Perform routine maintenance and cleanup on the premises
• Assist in unloading of trucks, and distribute to the appropriate area
• If a beneficiary is assigned, train and monitor them for their work therapy assignment
• Work with Corps Officer on Christmas Bellringing effort, driving as needed
• Ensure an attitude of “dignity and respect” as relates to the interpersonal relationships of all employees, beneficiaries and volunteers
• Act as personal representative of The Salvation Army and treat all clients courteously
• Meet or exceed work quotas as determined by supervisor
• Keep immediate work area clean and safe
• Ensure all accidents involving equipment, personal injury or property damage are reported to supervisor
• Other duties as assigned by your immediate supervisor as they relate to the position of Operations Aide

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Must be 21 years of age
• Good people and customer service skills
• Ability to accomplish assignment to completion with minimal supervision
• Must have ability to follow directions, both written and verbal
• Ability to meet quotas set by supervisor
• Valid New Mexico driver’s license with clean MVR
• Must be able to pass a criminal background check
