• As a Sales Engineer, you will serve as a customer-facing technical sales resource, partnering with Account Executives, Solutions Architects, and customers to support technical discovery, solution positioning, and opportunity development. The Sales Engineer is a bridge between the Technical Sales Representative and Solutions Architect roles, helping move qualified opportunities through the sales cycle while continuing to develop deeper technical and consultative selling skills.
• The Sales Engineer will translate customer requirements into clear business and technical value, support standard solution discussions, and engage Solutions Architects for complex architecture, advanced technical validation, or highly customized customer needs.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Account Executives to support technical conversations with prospects and customers throughout the sales cycle.
• Participate in discovery calls to understand customer workloads, business drivers, technical requirements, timelines, and decision criteria.
• Present Cirrascale’s solutions and explain the value of GPU infrastructure, bare-metal servers, storage, networking, and cloud alternatives.
• Help qualify technical fit and identify when deeper Solutions Architect engagement is required.
• Assist with standard solution positioning, customer presentations, product overviews, and introductory technical demonstrations.
• Support responses to technical questions, customer questionnaires, RFPs, and RFQs by coordinating with Solutions Architects and internal teams.
• Document customer requirements, technical notes, and next steps in CRM and internal systems.
• Serve as a liaison between Sales, Solutions Architecture, Product, Operations, Engineering, and vendor partners.
• Support post-sales handoff by clearly documenting customer requirements, expectations, and solution details.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field, business, or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of experience in technical sales, sales support, technical support, IT, systems administration, infrastructure, cloud, or a related customer-facing role.
• Foundational understanding of servers, storage, networking, operating systems, and cloud infrastructure.
• Strong interest in AI/ML infrastructure, GPU platforms, high-performance computing, bare-metal infrastructure, and enterprise technology sales.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Comfortable engaging directly with customers and participating in discovery, presentations, and follow-up discussions.
• Coachable, organized, and eager to grow into a more advanced pre-sales technical role.
• Proficient in CRM software such as Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar tools.
• Prior experience as a Technical Sales Representative, Associate Sales Engineer, Solutions Specialist, Technical Account Representative, or similar role.
• Exposure to Linux, virtualization, containers, Kubernetes, Python, Bash, or public cloud platforms.
• Familiarity with AWS, GCP, Azure, bare-metal infrastructure, colocation, hosted compute, or data center environments.
• Exposure to GPU infrastructure, AI/ML workloads, HPC environments, high-performance storage, or high-speed networking.
• Experience supporting customer presentations, technical demos, proposals, RFPs, or technical questionnaires.

Benefits

• The base salary range for the Sales Engineer is $100,000 to $140,000. This pay range reflects the broad, minimum to maximum, pay range for this job for the location for which it has been posted. Compensation decisions are dependent on several factors including, but not limited to, an individual’s qualifications, location where the role is to be performed, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
