Responsibilities

• • You’ll understand product & it's application for better handling of Machining portfolio used in High Voltage Switchgear (AIS ,GIS, Instrument transformer).
• • You’ll identify ,plan ,execute & monitor sourcing strategy in this commodity for cost competitiveness, capacity need , business continuity & for business growth ensuring governance .
• • You’ll understand drawings, Quality needs ,testing requirements, share RFQ's to suppliers for getting detail techno commercial offers & make comparative statements for finalizations
• • You’ll Lead commercial negotiations and develop long-term supplier relationships within your portfolio for cost competitiveness & for business growth
• • You’ll finalize reliable suppliers ,decide business allocation to them & propose internally for investment need if any
• • You’ll derive, monitor & improve supplier performance on quality, delivery, cost and sustainability.
• • You’ll work closely with R&D ,Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, Planning and other cross-functional teams.
• • You’ll identify supply risks and develop alternate, additional sources.
• • You’ll anticipate/forecast business needs with proactive cross functional alignment & bring solutions for avoiding SCM disruptions if any
• • You’ll visit suppliers for better alignment of business & expedition of development activities if needed
• • You’ll actively get involve in department & shall ensure timely execution of the assignments with MIS weekly reporting

Requirements

• • You are Mechanical /Electrical Engineer with 6-10 years of work experience
• • You have hands on experience with sourcing and supplier development for machined components portfolio used in High Voltage Switchgear (AIS ,GIS ,Instrument transformer)
• • You have strong understanding of CNC, VMC, HMC,SPM’S, different RAW material grades, Geometrical tolerances, different manufacturing processes & it’s costing.
• • You have strong knowledge of surface treatments – zinc plating, silver (Ag) plating, anodizing ,HDG and different heat treatment & it’s costing
• • You understand drawings, analyze supplier quotations and derive should-cost, VA/VE and cost-reduction initiatives.
• • You have demonstrated commercial negotiations and developed long-term supplier relationships.
• • You understand & execute different negotiation & sourcing strategies for cost competitiveness, capacity development and business continuity.
• • You derive supplier performance on quality, delivery, cost and sustainability & encourage them for continues improvement
• • You are good team player & can work closely with cross-functional teams.
• • You can proactively identify supply risks and develop alternate sources & solutions .
• • You visit business partners for better alignment & expedition of development.
• • You are proficient Excel, MS word, PowerPoint, Power BI etc
• • You are Self-driven, accountable and capable of independently managing machining commodities.
