Job description

• Responsible for supporting day-to-day Human Resources (HR) operations. Work involves supporting core HR functions including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, benefits administration, compliance, payroll coordination, and recordkeeping. Ensures compliance with federal and state employment laws while supporting a productive, safe, and collaborative work environment.
• Work is performed under general supervision with limited latitude in the use of initiative. Position exercises some judgment in accordance with well-defined policies, procedures, and techniques.

Responsibilities

• Supports recruitment for open positions by assisting applicants with applying to open positions, scheduling interviews, and preparing conference room for interviews
• Supports new hire onboarding and manages new hire safety training
• Serves as a point of contact for employee inquiries regarding policies, benefits, and workplace concerns
• Maintains accurate timekeeping records, including seasonal and hourly labor
• Assists employees with benefit enrollment and insurance claims questions
• Maintains personnel files in accordance with legal requirements
• Ensures compliance with federal and state labor laws, including FLSA, OSHA, EEOC, and agricultural labor regulations
• Tracks required certifications, safety training, and licenses
• Supports workers’ compensation and safety reporting processes
• Coordinates required safety and compliance training
• Supports leadership with training initiatives and employee development programs
• Maintain Human Resources Information System (HRIS) data accuracy
• Generates reports on turnover, staffing levels, benefits enrollment, and workforce trends
• Supports audit preparation and regulatory reporting

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED and two (2) years of administrative experience;
• OR a combination of experience, certification, education and training that demonstrates expertise in the related areas.
• Bilingual – English and Spanish
• Knowledge of human resources processes and principles
• Knowledge of clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records and other office procedures
• Skill in the use of Microsoft Office products (Teams, Word, Outlook and Excel) and applicable department and organization specific software; ability to learn and become proficient in the use of other specialized software as may be required
• Skill in using mathematics required for the work
• Ability to independently manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions
• Ability to review, compile and organize forms, documents and related records for efficient processing and ready retrieval
• Ability to work cooperatively as a member of a service-oriented team
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive materials and information
• Ability to clearly communicate and understand information in English, orally and in writing
• Ability to follow public safety guidelines and protocols and perform job functions in a safe manner

• Ability to maintain regular attendance to ensure efficient and effective performance of job duties
• Additional education or certification in human resources or a related field
• Previous experience in an administrative or human resources support role
• Previous experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
