Senior Accountant at MSG Sports in New York City, NY

Job description

• This role is responsible for preparing consolidated financial statements for MSG Sports, including Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Statement of Cash Flows, Statement of Shareholders Equity, and Statement of Comprehensive Income, and notes for inclusion in the Company’s periodic filings with the SEC on a quarterly basis. Ensures the integrity of balance sheets, income statements, applicable financial statement analysis and other supporting documentation pertaining to management, annual audit, SEC and other reports.

Responsibilities

• Preparing consolidated financial statements for MSG Sports, including Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Statement of Cash Flows, Statement of Shareholders Equity, and Statement of Comprehensive Income, and notes for inclusion in the Company’s periodic filings with the SEC on a quarterly basis.
• Ensures the integrity of balance sheets, income statements, applicable financial statement analysis and other supporting documentation pertaining to management, annual audit, SEC and other reports.

Requirements

• · Bachelor’s degree preferred in business/accounting
• · Must have experience with SEC reporting process (public or private).
• · Public/private background with excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• · Strong analytical and organizational skills
• · 3-6+ years accounting experience
• · CPA preferred
• · Must be proficient in Excel and possess knowledge of automated environments; experience with Oracle or other ERP systems and Workiva or other reporting tools a plus.
