• We’re looking for an experienced Veterinary Receptionist who brings warmth, organization, and excellent communication to the front desk. • At Cat Care of Rochester Hills, the front desk is an important part of the care team. You’ll help shape the client experience from the first phone call through check-out while working alongside teammates who understand that strong communication and collaboration make a difference.

Responsibilities

• Schedule appointments and efficiently manage a multi-doctor calendar
• Check patients in and out while maintaining accurate client and patient information
• Collect payments and process invoices and returns
• Handle prescription and refill requests according to hospital protocols
• Manage appointment flow and communicate effectively with the medical team
• Recognize situations that may require same-day evaluation, urgent or emergency care, or routine scheduling based on established hospital protocols
• Create a positive, compassionate experience for clients and their cats
• Support safe and effective patient handling using low-stress or Fear Free techniques when needed
• Work collaboratively with teammates to keep the hospital organized and running smoothly

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Veterinary Receptionist
• Strong customer service and client communication skills
• Comfort working in a fast-paced clinical environment
• Experience coordinating appointments, managing schedules, and supporting efficient clinic flow
• Safe and compassionate patient-handling skills with an emphasis on low-stress or Fear Free techniques
• Comfort learning and using veterinary practice management software, including Avimark
• A positive, supportive approach and commitment to teamwork and mutual respect
• A desire to grow professionally while encouraging the growth of others
• A genuine appreciation for cats and the people who love them
• A positive cattitude—because with the right cattitude, anything is pawsible!
