• TheField Operations Bureauis primarily responsible for traffic law enforcement, collision investigation, and motorist assists on 7,056.18 centerline miles (18,642 lane miles) of state highways and interstates. The bureau oversees eight geographical districts statewide, where commissioned troopers carry out the department's primary goal of providing a safe motoring environment for the public.

Responsibilities

• District Eight is situated along Washington State’s Pacific coastline with the Canadian border to the north, just across the Strait of Juan de Fuca. To the south, across the Columbia River, is the state of Oregon. To the east lies Puget Sound with the Hood Canal running into the heart of the district.
• The organization's mission is to provide the best in public safety services by enhancing the safety and security of our citizens. This position supports this mission by providing administrative assistance to the officers and professional staff of the WA State Patrol and professional, knowledgeable customer service to our LE partners and citizens.
• Support Bremerton headquarters
• Maintain inventory
• Produce Reports
• Keep current reporting status
• Create files and spreadsheets in Microsoft Office
• Provide information to the public
• Answer phones
• Contact at public window
• Assist in VIN operations through appointments

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Two years of experience demonstrating proficiency in clerical, administrative, and communication skills necessary to perform the essential functions listed for this position.
