Associate Designer, Sweaters at Veronica Beard in New York, NY

Job description

• Veronica Beard is seeking an Associate Designer who will support the day-to-day execution of the sweater category, working closely with the Senior Designer and Design Director. The ideal candidate has knitwear knowledge, strong organization skills, attention to detail, and reliable follow through.

Responsibilities

• Create and update sketches, CADS, pitch sheets, and design presentations prep
• Maintain weekly updates to seasonal yarn bin and design boards
• Support yarn, stitch, color, trim, and technique development
• Prepare clear pass-off information for Product Development, Technical Design, and factories
• Participate in fittings, record fit notes and sketch updates
• Track samples in partnership with Product Development, manage knitdown requests, and follow up on outstanding development items.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree
• 2-4 years of design experience
• Must have sweater and knitwear experience
• Strong Illustrator and Photoshop skills
• Proficient in CAD
• Proactive attitude, problem solver, and willingness to follow through
• PLM/VibeIQ knowledge a plus

Benefits

• The base salary range for this role is between $65,000 and $75,000. The relevant base salary will vary depending on wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to, skill sets, experience, training, degrees, and certifications.
