• SALARY RANGE: The anticipated salary range for this role is $60,000 to $85,000 annually. This range reflects a good faith estimate based on the targeted level for the role and typical compensation benchmarks across U.S. locations. Actual compensation may vary depending on the selected candidate’s qualifications, experience, geographical location, and internal alignment.
• The Procurement Specialist with moderate supervision is responsible for the day-to-day purchasing activity of the company, following established company policy and procedures The Procurement Specialist is responsible for working with supply chain management to communicate shortages, delays, and component obsolescence. The Procurement Specialist utilizes cost comparison tools, communicates and negotiates with vendors, and improves the overall purchasing process.

Responsibilities

• The following job functions are a basic requirement but are not limited to and may be assigned other duties.
• Purchasing materials and supplies to support company objectives and ensure compliance with company policy, contractual flow downs and local laws.
• Prioritizing purchasing activities based on schedule and lead time
• Reviewing engineering/costed BOMs to ensure the purchasing information is up to date
• Managing suppliers and ensure schedule is on track
• Supporting make vs buy decision via cost analysis
• Coordinating non-conformance with Quality and ask vendors for their root cause analysis.
• Supporting outsourcing, supplier qualification and supplier selection
• Negotiating price, payment terms, lead time and long-term agreements.
• Working with engineering and production for purchasing/productionizing prototype BOMs
• Communicating with management such as shorts, delays, or component obsolescence surface
• Coordinating with accounting to ensure compliance with billing and taxation
• Communicating across all levels of the organization and working with multidisciplinary teams

Requirements

• 2+ years’ purchasing/procurement experience in a related industry of Military and Aircraft
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Accounting, or Finance.
• ISO9001/AS9100 experience preferred
• Knowledge of different commodities, materials and specs (mechanical, electrical, 3D-print, PCB’s, cable harnesses, connectors)
• Experience in sourcing, supplier development, supplier assessment and cost reduction projects
• Experience managing supplier KPI’s
• Knowledge of general maintenance methods, operating requirements, and safety precautions related to facilities operation
• Proficient in MS Office, ERP systems and QuickBooks
• Negotiation skills and supplier management skills.
• ISO9001/AS9100 experience preferred
• Microsoft Excel proficiency
