• We are seeking a dynamic Assistant Controller to join our finance team. The Assistant Controller plays a pivotal role in our finance department, ensuring the integrity and efficiency of our financial operations in the U.S. This dynamic position is designed for a detail-oriented individual with a passion for finance and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. The Assistant Controller will be responsible for a wide range of financial activities to maintain and improve our financial procedures.

Responsibilities

• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close, including journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and consolidation schedules.
• Maintain accurate and timely general ledger records and support US GAAP reporting.
• Support US payroll administration and accounting, including payroll, benefits, employer taxes, and reconciliations.
• Support federal, state, local, and sales/use tax compliance with internal and external advisors.
• Support accounts payable, invoicing, audit requests, and financial reporting for Global and US business functions.
• Help document and improve internal controls, accounting processes, and finance systems, including NetSuite.
• Assist with ad hoc analysis and special projects as the Finance organization grows.

Requirements

• 4-7 years of experience in an accounting role.
• Strong accounting fundamentals and working knowledge of US GAAP.
• Familiarity with US tax matters and payroll processes, including payroll-related accounting and taxes.
• Experience supporting month-end close, account reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Strong Excel skills and high attention to detail.
• Excellent organization, communication, and follow-through.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and take ownership as the only Finance team member currently based in the US.
• Experience working in a global environment and collaborating effectively across countries, cultures, and time zones.
• Curiosity, ownership, and willingness to grow into broader responsibilities.
• Experience in a high-growth technology company.
• CPA or progress toward a CPA.
• Experience with NetSuite and ADP TotalSource
• Experience in healthcare or SaaS companies.
