Digital Sales Representative - Activate at Twilio in Remote - US

Job description

• Join the team as Twilio’s next Digital Sales Representative - Activate.
• Twilio’s Self-Service Business, serves more than 300,000 active customers and generates nearly $1B annually. This position is needed to grow and retain high-value self-service accounts by engaging customers at the right moment, guiding product adoption, preventing churn, and helping customers reach scale across Twilio Communications, SendGrid, or Segment products.

Responsibilities

• Engage high-value self-service customers through programmatically assigned inbound and outbound leads.
• Identify growth opportunities by assessing product usage signals, customer needs, and readiness to scale.
• Guide customers through adoption of Twilio Communications, SendGrid, or Segment products to accelerate business outcomes.
• Retain priority accounts by proactively addressing risks, removing blockers, and supporting continued product value.
• Collaborate with Sales, Solutions Engineering, Marketing, and Product teams to improve sales plays and customer engagement strategies.

• At least 1 year of sales development or business development experience at a technology company, or 2-3+ years of closing experience in another industry.
• Ability to qualify inbound and outbound opportunities, uncover customer needs, and guide customers toward relevant solutions.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage technical and business stakeholders.
• Comfort using data, product usage signals, and sales plays to prioritize outreach and identify growth or retention opportunities.
• Ability to manage a high-volume book of accounts, prioritize effectively, and follow through on customer commitments.
• Curiosity about cloud communications, customer engagement, email, data, or SaaS products.
• Experience selling SaaS, cloud communications, email, customer data, or developer-focused products.
• Familiarity with product-led growth, self-service customer motions, or usage-based sales models.
• Ability to interpret customer usage trends and translate insights into relevant sales conversations.
• Experience working with Salesforce, Outreach, Gong, or similar sales engagement and CRM tools.
• Interest in helping customers adopt and scale solutions across Twilio Communications, SendGrid, or Segment products.

Compensation for candidates in other locations will be discussed during the hiring process. Please note that hiring for this role is not restricted to the locations listed above.
• Based in Colorado, Hawaii, Minnesota or Vermont : $30.09/hr - $37.61/hr.
• Based in Washington D.C., Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts or California (outside of the San Francisco Bay Area): $31.77/hr - $39.71/hr.
• Based in New York, New Jersey, Washington State, or the San Francisco Bay area, California: $33.44/hr - $41.80/hr.
• This role may be eligible to participate in Twilio’s equity plan. All roles are generally eligible for the following benefits: health care insurance, 401(k) retirement account, paid sick time, paid personal time off, paid parental leave.
• This role is eligible to earn commissions.
• The successful candidate’s starting salary will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills, experience, and geographic location.
