Job description
- The Security Analyst I position on the Security Operations team monitors, triages, and responds to security alerts across systems and infrastructure. This role is required to work different shifts on a rotational basis, contributing to projects focused on the continuous improvement of detection and response capabilities. This role works closely with internal stakeholders to verify activity and mitigate risks, requiring practical knowledge of security operations and the ability to work under moderate supervision.
Responsibilities
- Independently monitor and triage security alerts, escalating as appropriate
- Identify pathways to improve alert accuracy and reduce noise
- Contribute to documentation of processes and procedures
- Research and analyze emerging threats relevant to the organization
- Participate in compliance, audit, and risk management activities as needed.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in IT, security, or a related field
- Practical experience with security monitoring and response using tools such as SIEM, EDR, IDS
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Sound understanding of network, endpoint, and cloud security concepts
- Experience working with cloud providers such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant discipline or equivalent experience
- Experience using automation tooling
- Demonstrated ability to adapt to evolving threats and technologies.
