• The AR Customer Service Specialist s responsible for working collaboratively with all Revenue Cycle functional areas, to maximize revenues by ensuring distribution of all patient statements and collecting patient payments to satisfy account receivable balances.

Responsibilities

• - Responsible for all inbound calls regarding insurance-related inquiries from patients, field staff and insurance carriers.
• - Always displays a positive, empathetic, and professional attitude toward customers and responds promptly to customer inquiries.
• - Keeps records of customer interactions, transactions, comments, and complaints.
• - Communicating and coordinating with coworkers to resolve customer complaints as necessary.
• - Provide feedback on the efficiency of the customer service process to People Leaders.
• - Reviewing and mailing out all patient statements.
• - Responsible for small balance write-offs to ensure appropriate and accurate patient statements are mailed.
• - Ensure customer satisfaction and provide professional customer support.
• - Communicates to Cash Applications Team when credit card payments are updated on the tracker.
• - Contacts patients to communicate a coordination of benefits issue and instruct patients on the resolution.

Requirements

• - High School Diploma or GED.
• - 1 – 3 years’ experience in customer service, preferably in medical field.
• - Excellent communication skills.
• - Accuracy in posting numbers.
• - The ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects required.
• - Strong computer skills.
• - Significant experience using Excel, and Word required.
• - Self-starter who excels in a fast paced, data driven environment.
