Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and enhance software for ground systems and real-time capabilities for space missions
• Take ownership of complex engineering challenges from modernizing legacy components to architecting new mission-focused capabilities
• Improve performance, resilience, and operational speed
• Shape how data is processed, how systems communicate, and how mission teams execute with precision

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in software development with programming languages, including Java, Python, Rust, or GO
• Experience transitioning legacy applications to a modernized microservice-based architecture
• Experience writing source code for new applications, or generating and enhancing code samples for existing applications
• Experience creating solutions to complex problems within a collaborative, cross-functional team
• TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
• Bachelor's degree
• Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required.
• Experience operating within an Agile environment
• Experience with Linux-based systems, containers, and orchestration tools, including Docker or Kubernetes
• Experience designing, modifying, developing, writing, and implementing software programming applications
• Experience acquiring client requirements and resolving workflow problems through automation optimization
• Experience working within a Cloud Solution Provider (CSP), including AWS, Azure, or Google
• Experience with C#, C, C++, JavaScript, React, or Node.js
• Ability to work with automated testing tools to perform testing and maintenance
• Master’s degree

• Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $69,400.00 to $158,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
