- The Mechanical Drafter/Designer is responsible for creating layouts and designs for all company products. This role involves processing custom-engineered crane and fall protection systems to achieve departmental and organizational objectives.
Responsibilities
- Measure and reverse-engineer existing production fixtures and jigs.
- Draw specification documentation for existing fixtures and jigs.
- Create scaled drawings within the proper company title blocks required for fabrication or purchasing using AutoCAD or SolidWorks software.
- Check own work for quality.
- Perform other duties as deemed necessary by the Engineering Manager to accomplish project deliverables.
Requirements
- Proficiency in general engineering drafting techniques, terminology, geometry, methods, and practices.
- Ability to use basic metrology equipment (e.g., dial calipers).
- Experience with AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
- Exceptional organizational skills.
- Ability to work quickly and accurately.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
