- Quartz is seeking a curious, analytical, and technology-driven Data Automation Engineer Intern to join our team for Summer 2027. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience supporting enterprise automation systems, troubleshooting complex workflows, and developing innovative solutions that improve operational efficiency across the organization.

Responsibilities
- As a Data Automation Engineer Intern, you'll work closely with our Automation Engineering team to support critical business processes and help improve the reliability and efficiency of enterprise systems.
- Investigate and troubleshoot automation workflows and system integrations
- Analyze logs and system data to identify root causes of issues
- Assist with monitoring, supporting, and maintaining automated processes
- Collaborate with engineers to resolve support tickets and operational challenges
- Create and enhance technical documentation for automation solutions
- Develop scripts and tools to improve system monitoring and operational visibility
- Participate in automation initiatives designed to reduce manual work and improve reliability
- Work with APIs, databases, servers, networks, and cloud-based technologies
Requirements
- Have a d emonstrated interest in Data Analytics, Automation Engineering, Systems Admin istration, etc. as a possible career path
- Ability to work 4 0 hours per week from June to August 2027
- Graduating between December 2027 and May 202 8
- Basic scripting experience using PowerShell, Bash, and/or python
- Must live within a 3-hour radius of Madison, WI and be willing to travel to headquarters from June to August
- Attend the summer intern program kickoff and retreat ( June 1-4, 2027 ), and final intern presentation (Late July/Early August)
- Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States without requiring work visa sponsorship from Quartz, now or in the future
- Hardware and equipment will be provided by the company, but candidates must have access to high-speed, non-satellite Internet to successfully work from home.
