- What We Are Looking For
- Check Point is looking for a high-impact Major Account Manager ready to win new strategic logos and unlock growth across a focused portfolio of approximately 20 existing customers and prospects. In this role, you will shape bold, multi-year account strategies, lead complex deals with senior decision-makers, and bring together a virtual account team to deliver meaningful outcomes for customers in a channel-friendly environment. Responsibilities
- Drive new, expansion and renewal opportunities across all accounts
- Acquire new strategic logos while farming and expanding existing accounts
- Build executive relationships and secure senior-level access
- Develop and execute major account plans with multi-year view
- Lead complex, multi-stakeholder deal orchestration
- Lead contract and pricing negotiations
- Prioritize effectively across a large book of business
- Use Check Point tools to manage accounts, pipelines and forecast
- Coordinate a virtual account team (specialists, SE, etc)
Requirements
- 5+ years of direct sales experience in enterprise technology, preferably in cybersecurity, SaaS, networking, or infrastructure
- Proven success selling into State, Local Government, and/or Education accounts
- Strong understanding of State of Tennessee, Kentucky, Mississippi, and Alabama procurement, budgeting cycles, and funding mechanisms
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex sales cycles and strategic accounts
- Self-starter with excellent communication, organization, and relationship-building skills
- Ability to travel regionally as needed (estimated 50%)
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Existing SLED customer base and state agencies and Higher Education Institutions relationships
- Experience working with or through public sector channels and distributors
- Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks and compliance requirements in SLED
- Experience using Salesforce or similar CRM
