- Junior Tax Operations Analyst
- Location: New York, NY
- Schedule: Hybrid – Minimum 3 days onsite per week

- Rate: $29/hr W2
- Our client is seeking a Junior Tax Operations Analyst to join their Tax Client Service Group. This role will support Financial Advisors and Client Service Associates with tax-related inquiries, year-end tax reporting, reconciliations, and operational processing.
- Candidates should have strong customer service and communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to analyze issues, work independently, and escalate matters appropriately.
Responsibilities
- Assist Financial Advisors and Client Service Associates through phone inquiries and case management tickets.
- Support year-end tax processing, including 1099s, 1042-S forms, mass corrections, IRS files, and reclasses.
- Perform daily reconciliations and review break reports.
- Assist with audit procedures and documentation.
- Research and resolve tax-related operational issues, escalating higher-level issues when appropriate.
- Maintain a high level of accuracy while managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Work collaboratively with internal teams to resolve client and operational inquiries.
- Learn and apply tax regulations, internal procedures, and systems.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.

- Prior experience in the financial services industry.
- Experience in client service, operations, or a related field.
- Knowledge of year-end tax reporting, including 1099 and 1042-S forms.
- Understanding of withholding and reporting requirements.
- Familiarity with IRS Chapter 3 and Chapter 4, NRA, and FATCA regulations.
- Understanding of client account classifications and related tax document and withholding requirements.
